Transparency statement

Pursuant to Sections 107(1) and 108 no. 2 of the German Social Code Book V (SGB V), Klinik Manhagen GmbH & Co. KG is authorised to provide inpatient care to patients with statutory health insurance in orthopaedics and surgery and in ophthalmology. To fulfil its care mandate, the hospital works not only with permanently employed physicians but also with specialist surgeons and anaesthetists working part-time, as well as fee-based physicians who, alongside their work for the hospital, also provide outpatient services in MVZ medical care centres and medical practices or inpatient care at university hospitals. The legislature expressly provides for such arrangements in hospital care, and they are governed by Section 2 of the German Hospital Remuneration Act (KHEntgG). Irrespective of this, patients’ unrestricted right to choose their physician and hospital is fully protected. On request, and particularly where a physician has a specific specialisation, patients may choose their surgeon freely.
