Rehabilitation immediately after surgery

At Klinik Manhagen, physiotherapy begins shortly after surgery. Early mobilisation supports the healing process, promotes movement and helps reduce pain.

An experienced team of physicians, nurses and physiotherapists supports you closely throughout. Together with your active participation, this creates the foundation for a rapid return to everyday life and a lasting improvement in your quality of life.

Around 12 physiotherapists are responsible for mobilising patients at Klinik Manhagen. Targeted follow-up treatment after surgery is essential for your recovery.

Following your operation, we can arrange outpatient or inpatient follow-up rehabilitation at a suitable rehabilitation facility, tailored to your individual needs.

You are entitled to follow-up rehabilitation after a partial or total knee or hip replacement; after spinal surgery subject to medical agreement; and after shoulder replacement, generally no earlier than six weeks after surgery and depending on your ability to bear weight.

Important: As soon as your operation date has been arranged, please telephone Rehabilitation Management so that we can plan your follow-up treatment in good time. Inpatient rehabilitation usually requires six weeks’ advance planning.
