Optional services at Klinik Manhagen
Optional services are additional services provided beyond standard hospital care. They are agreed in writing in advance and charged separately. Before entering into an agreement, please check whether your private health insurance, supplementary insurance, state aid scheme or another payer will cover the costs. You will, of course, continue to receive all medically necessary treatment without selecting any optional services.
Any medical optional services are discussed and agreed directly with the physician or practice during the surgical assessment consultation. You can arrange comfort services with our reception team.
Comfort services
Our comfort services make your inpatient stay particularly pleasant. They cover three areas:
Room on a comfort ward: You can arrange accommodation in a single or double room. Under the current occupancy standard, patients selecting comfort services are generally accommodated alone in the relevant room. Accommodation depends on occupancy, and it is not generally possible to choose freely between Premium and Comfort. Prices per billing day: single room €189 Premium or €159 Comfort; double room €89 Premium or €79 Comfort.
Services: We provide a bathrobe to make your stay more comfortable. Towels are also available from the hospital if needed.
Meals: Wherever possible, we take particular dietary needs into account. Please tell us about them in good time.
Accompanying person
An accompanying person may stay if occupancy levels permit. This is a chargeable service and should be arranged well in advance. The additional charge is €90 per billing day.
Optional medical services
By selecting the optional medical service, you agree to personal treatment by the hospital’s authorised elective-service physicians and their designated permanent medical representatives. Billing is based on the German medical and dental fee schedules (GOÄ/GOZ). The exact amount cannot be predicted in advance because it depends on the course of treatment, the individual services provided, their complexity and the time required.
Robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery
In robot-assisted surgery, a surgical robot supports the surgeon in planning and performing knee replacement surgery. The robot does not operate independently. The treating surgeon remains in control throughout the procedure. This optional service costs €750 and includes use of the surgical robot, the associated single-use materials, and specially trained medical and nursing staff.
Patient-specific instruments: MyKnee
MyKnee uses patient-specific instruments based on your individual knee anatomy. The aim is to achieve the closest possible match between the implant and your joint. This optional service relates to the Medacta “Sphere” knee replacement and costs €600. It includes patient-specific instruments, the “Sphere” implant and specially trained medical staff.
Patient-specific instruments for the ankle
PROPHECY INFINITY EU PSI uses a patient-specific cutting guide from Stryker for ankle replacement surgery. This optional service costs €700. A special coating can also be selected for an additional €600. It is particularly suitable for difficult bone conditions because it supports better integration of the implant.
Clarify the costs in advance
Optional services are not covered by statutory health insurance. Patients who use them are generally responsible for the cost themselves. This may also apply if you have private health insurance or supplementary insurance. Please check in advance whether your insurer or another payer will cover the costs.
